Q?

What are wellness and motivation services?

A.

Each person has different issues and goals when they come to me for wellness and motivation services. Therefore, the process will be different depending on the individual.  In general, you can expect:

  • To discuss the current events happening in your life
  • A conversation about your personal history relevant to your issue
  • To report progress (or any new insights gained) from the previous session

Q?

What will be expected of me while receiving your services?

A.

It is essential to understand; the best results occur when the client actively participates in the process.  The ultimate purpose of wellness and motivation services is to bring what you learn in session back into your life.  Therefore, beyond the work done in a session, you might be asked to do some outside work to support your process. These things might include:

  • Reading a pertinent book
  • Journaling on specific topics
  • Noting particular behaviors
  • Taking action on your goals

People seeking wellness and motivation services are ready to make positive changes in their lives. Further, they should be open to new perspectives and take responsibility for their lives.

Q?

How long can I expect to be receiving services?

A.

Depending on your specific needs, wellness and motivation services can be short-term, to overcome a particular issue; or longer-term, to deal with more difficult patterns or your desire for more personal development.  Either way, it is most common to schedule regular sessions with your provider (usually weekly).

Q?

A.

There is a 24 hours in-advance cancellation policy. If you miss your appointment without notice, you will be responsible for the full fee of the session.

Q?

What theoretical methods do you use?

A.

I use a variety of therapeutic and wellness coaching approaches. Some of these methods are Cognitive Behavioral approach, Solution-Focused approach, Choice Theory, Applied Behavior Analysis, Narrative approach, Motivational Interviewing, career counseling, and experiential modalities. Depending on the needs of the client, I create an individualized treatment plan and tailor my services accordingly.

Q?

Does what we talk about remain confidential?

A.

Confidentiality is one of the most important components between a client and their coach. Successful treatment requires a high degree of trust with highly sensitive subject matter. This subject matter is usually not discussed anywhere but the provider’s office or another secure platform.  Every provider should provide a written copy of their confidential disclosure agreement, and you can expect that what you discuss in session will not be shared with anyone. This process is called “Informed Consent.”  Sometimes, however, you may want your therapist to share information or give an update to someone on your healthcare team (your Physician, Naturopath, Attorney), but by law, your coach cannot release this information without obtaining your written permission.

Q?

Where are you located

Q?

A.

I am bilingual and also offer services in Spanish. Although I was raised here in the US, I speak fluent Spanish and am fully proficient in the language.
